Operations

From start to finish our processes managed and monitored thoroughly. The planting and grafting of trees of different varieties, pruning, cleaning, application of fertilizers, harvesting, transporting to pack house, washing, packing though different lines of packaging and transportation to the world.

Harvest

At our Santa Rita orchard we start the harvest in May/June. Thanks to the care in previous months, we have plenty of glorious varieties. Now it's time to be careful when harvesting the fruit, which is done by hand, individually with pruning shears. We keep the stem long and thus make a finer cut to prevent it from coming off and the sap from damaging the appearance.
Once the fruit is cut from the tree, it is cleaned by hand, and the stem reduced to the right size for transport. We also sort by size and variety before loading on to transport to the packhouse.

USA

Following washing and sorting, depending on size a variety, the mango enters a process of immersion in water at 50ºC, for between 65 and 110 minutes.
Once moved to the quarantine area and back to room temperature the Mango is packed for the USA market.
In order to meet USDA certification and export to the United States, our pack house meets and exceeds highest standards of safety and quality in the packaging of perishable foods and agricultural products.
